If you’re in Cooperstown, N.Y., chances are you’re there for baseball (with the exception of locals and those seeking out Brewery Ommegang of course).  Baseball and food go hand and hand however (see slideshow for details), and that’s why an establishment like the Cooperstown Diner needs to fit into your travel plans. It may appear less extravagant than that hall just down the street, but there’s just as much charm and value here for baseball purists and the rest of us alike.

It’s been a big few weeks of CNY food news (naturally during my professional training time of year). Another famous chef announced a NY State Fair demonstration, the Syracuse Diners project I worked on has gotten some future press from the local paper and the NY Wine and Culinary Center announced the third year of a cool local competition (that I may be invited to participate as voting media in).

To celebrate, some more food links:

  • As much as I love me some cheap Saranac and a hotdog at a Syracuse Chiefs game, this ESPN report on ballpark food is definitely a bit disheartening.
